Special demands in marine applications such as large capacities transportation and fast deployment military operations have brought multihull concepts forward. Open deck areas, high stability characteristics, a wide range of operating speeds are some the strong sides these vessels. The fact that few studies been done on manoeuvring performance predictions types ships has main source motivation conducting this study. A form, Delft Catamaran 372 (DC372), selected for computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-based system simulation application. CFD method subjected to verification validation (V&V) process using latest solution techniques available comparison data literature. computerized planar motion mechanism (CPMM) approach applied determine all necessary hydrodynamic derivatives stated Abkowitz's model. new analysis vessels, discrete study hull components (DSHC), introduced interpretation coefficients. dynamic manoeuvre simulator (DynaMaSS) which waterjet conventional steering/propulsion units (SPUs) implemented, presented 20-degree turning circle (TC20) 20/20 zigzag (ZZ20) simulations DC372. coefficients DC372 determined at satisfactory level by method.
